Description
The Lion & The Rose This is NOT an antique blade. It was forged a decade ago as a working sword for a martial artist. It is made of L-5 steel, the sharpest steel available, and is suitable for tamagishiri (cutting practice for a trained martial artist). All the fittings ARE antique and of superior quality. Sourced from a personal koshirae collection, they are themed with Foo/Lion Dogs and the Imperial mon — the Chrysanthemum Rose. The tsuba is signed by a master and the overall presentation is top-tier and impressive. This is the ONLY such katana available for sale. It is offered at a one-time special price of $7,500.
The Story
Created for martial performance and refined with historical elegance, this one-of-a-kind sword blends modern cutting precision with antique symbolism. Lion dogs guard its power, while the chrysanthemum rose signals imperial grace — a rare convergence of past and present.
